Smarter Kids Childcare on George

Low stage surrounded by Urban 10 planters

A low stage for children to play on surrounded by plants

A brand new childcare centre on the second floor of 400 George Street in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.

The whole building complex operates under cutting-edge, ‘green’ credentials and it was vital that our new centre provide colour, texture and foliage that was not only compliant but excelled in producing a stimulating environment for all the children in our care.

Karen Williams, owner of Smarter Kids Kindergartens and Preschool said “IEQ Indoor Plants provided all the answers and a myriad of plants and planters that make Smarter Kids on George an oasis of green”.

This installation also includes four Terra Walls.

These walls add greenery without taking up valuable floor space.  The wall in this image is only one day old.  Within a week or so the plants will work out where the light source is and reorient their foliage.  It is hard to imaging this play area without the Terra Wall as a feature.

Broad View accross the floor including Terra Wall.

A column covered in plants features in this photo.

1.2 square metres of plants

Freshly installed, this wall will look great in a week or two when the plants have acclimatised and reoriented their foliage.

Urban12s with Ficus and Kentia Palm surround the play area.

Balcony Plants, Mon Komo, Redcliffe

Goblet Urn with Cycad Revoluta on balcony Mon Komo, Redcliffe.

IEQ Indoor plant hire Redcliffe supplies plants to 4 display units in the MBA award winning Mon Komo Residential apartments.

Bronwyn Poole, Touch Interiors Director said

“For the Mon Komo displays, I wanted to create something very unique and special.  Hiring real plants from Action Indoor Plant Hire was essential and enhanced the quality & luxury finishes used within each unit.  We were very happy with Action Indoor Plant Hire’s service and helpful attitude”.

Touch Interiors supplied the planters from their online shop “Complete Pad” and IEQ Indoor Plants (ex Action Indoor Plant Hire) configured them for sub-irrigation.

Installation using CottaPot Urban Planters, Brisbane

Urban 8 planters laid out ready to be loaded in a van.

Urban 8 Cabinet Top Planters in Pineapple

Urban planters Brisbane, provided by IEQ Indoor Plants.

This installation of 1400 plants uses about 400 CottaPot planters.  Urban Floor Wedges beside the windows, Urban 8 Troughs on top of cabinets, Urban 10 Troughs under the stairs and Desk Wedges to increase the plant density for Green Star points under IEQ-15.

All planters are sub-irrigated and maintenance is very easy which means the cost of servicing is at a minimum.

Our client used a different theme on every floor and we were able to match the theme colours with the CottaPot planters.

We chose to mass plant.  Each style of planter on each floor has only one species of plant.

Tambour Planter Boxes, Caboolture

Metal planter box with perforation on cabinet

Indoor plant hire Caboolture, provided by IEQ Indoor Plants.

Tambour Cabinet Top Planters with Sansevieria Robusta give a clean “architectural” look.  These perforated planter boxes on top of tambour cabinets are very popular.  They are powder coated steel and made to match the cabinets and work stations.

In a modern office floor space maybe in short supply but with unused cabinet tops.

We have installed plants in this type of planter from Caboolture to Robina on the Gold Coast.

Typically we use low water plants in these planters, this includes about three species of Sansevieria and Zanzibar Gems and Dracaena Janet Craig.

Schiavello Vertical Garden, Brisbane

Schiavello Vertical Garden with Golden Pothos

Schiavello Vertical Garden with Pothos

Schiavello Vertical Gardens designed by Joost Bakker are available using rustic terracotta pots or designer colours.

We have experience with the Schiavello Vertical Gardens with several successful installations.

The Schiavello Vertical Garden in this photo uses designer white pots and pothos.

This is a new installation, and in a few weeks the pothos will almost cover the entire frame and be a mass of green and yellow variegated leaves.

This solution adds greenery and all the advantages of indoor plants without taking up valuable floor space.

Note: Indoor Plant Hire or Rental and Interior Plantscape are synonyms.

Fibreglass Planters Wedges, Gold Coast

Wedge Fibreglass Planters with Yucca

Indoor plant hire Gold Coast, provided by IEQ Indor Plants.  A balcony installation, on Ephraim Island, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

Traditional fibreglass (Ceramalite) wedge planters with pebbles and Yuccas.

Yuccas need a lot of light to do well and are rarely used as an Indoor Plants.

Just like indoor plants balcony/patio plants benefit from sub-irrigation.

Fibreglass planters are light weight and full gloss.  Over the years this type of planter has probably been the most popular.
